Club Description: Green Bikes is a program made up of two parts. The first part is the Bike Give Away in which bikes are raffled off to students. Students who receive these bikes will have free maintenance on them and will return them after a semester. The second part of the Program is a bike shop. The shop runs first and foremost to support the greens bikes that are raffled off, and secondly to support the rest of the campus' bikes. Service is also free on these bikes however students will pay a discounted price for any parts (tubes, tires, break cables, 40% cheaper then you would pay at the local bike shops). The program is open to students from all 5 campuses. The green bike shop provides simple repairs: replacing tubes and tires, adjusting breaks cables and housing, chain maintenance, tire truing, and derailleur adjustments. The program uses donated and recycled bikes enabling students to get around to more places in less time as well as off campus. We hope to support the bike community, and use bikes as a way to improve our daily lives. Meeting Time & Place: Tuesday and Thursday from 5-7pm. We are located on Sixth St. in the east wing of Norton-Clark. Look for a bench with our sign next to a small walkway leading down. There is also a Green Bike shop at Pitzer located next to the Gold Student Center which is better equipped for more serious bike service and is open 6 days a week 10-6 pm. Club Leader(s):
