The EA Newsletter |
|
The EA newsletter was started in the fall of 2002 by Professor Hazlett with the help of Linda Elderkin, a city council member at the time and wife of Pomona professor Richard Elderkin. The newsletter was created as a community outreach tool for the EA program. Released 1-2 times a semester, the hard-copy newsletter includes articles, essays, reviews of books and field trips, artwork and photography by Pomona students and faculty.
Hard copies are made available to all Pomona students, staff and faculty with 150+ copies placed outside of the mailroom for each publication. Since its inception popularity among alumni and friends of the college has grown. In 2006 there was an off-campus subscription list of over 150 persons with some living as far away as the United Kingdom.
